Ok, so there’s still an exciting blog coming very soon and it will feature some of the fabrics you see below, however I couldn’t wait to share with you this exciting and ADORABLE top I made for my also ADORABLE niece Hayden!!
I found this cute little top here, so if you feel so inclined to make one, you may do that if you go to the link!
Here is the fabrics I chose for this cutsey wootsie top.
The blue spring flower fabric is the outside and the yellow polka dots are the inside. I found them both at Joanne Fabrics.
After I found the pin on Pinterest I headed straight for the fabric shop and found some spring prints to prepare Miss Hayden for the warmer weather ahead of us!! Then I got busy sewing!
I couldn’t wait to sew this thing up and see the finished project! Not only did I make a super cute top for spring but I also learned how to do a faux serge on the edge of my seams so that they don’t fray!! How perfect, right??? And I did it all on my embroidery/sewing machine!! It’s the first time I’ve put it to real good use and I am SO LOVING it!! I can’t believe I waited so long to try it out! I don’t think I can go back to my old machine anymore!!
Anyway, I’m sure you’re dying to see this new top, unfortunately I don’t have my model with me so I only have the top on a hanger, but as SOON as I can get some pictures of her in it, I will post them too!
Front Back View of the also adorable insideAnd I chose lime green buttons to pair with the top to add another spring pop of color!
EEEKK!!! Is it not the cutest?! I LOVE it! Tell me what you think! If you also make one, post it in the comments!
Thanks to Maggie at smashedpeasandcarrots.com for posting this adorable tutorial and pattern for me to borrow! =)
Have a wonderful weekend Ladies and Gents!
